Alfa Laval MMPX 404 Fuel Oil Purifier & Separator
Alfa Laval MMPX 404 fuel purifier is used for the cleaning purpose of fuel and lubricating oil used in marine and power industries with a maximum density of 991 kg/m3 at 15 °C.
MMPX 404 Alfa Laval Centrifugal Separator can be used as a purifier or clarifier of low viscosity fuel oils and lubricating oils.
MMPX 404 is made up of a frame, bowl assembly, and power transmission. The lower part houses a flat-belt, which connects the vertical drive shaft of bowl spindle to an electric motor.
When the bowl is arranged as a clarifier, it separates the oil, sludge, and very low water quantity. When the bowl is arranged as a purifier, it separates the oil, sludge, and an excessive amount of water.
The purification capacity of Alfa Laval MMPX 404 varies based upon the viscosity of fuel oil, the lower the viscosity, the higher the purification capacity.
We can easily separate solid particles with the help of centrifugal force. The centrifugal force within the high-speed rotating bowl separates the solid phase and liquid phase after that both these phrases are taken out through the different outlets.
