The LOPX 709 is a disc-stack self-cleaning Alfa Laval centrifugal separator designed primarily for liquid–solid separation, making it suitable for processing oils with a significant amount of solid particles.
This separator functions as both a purifier (separating two liquid phases and solids) and a clarifier (separating a liquid phase and solids).
LOPX 709 can operate reliably in continuous industrial or marine sectors because of its robust build, and can also operate at process temperatures ranging from 0°C to 100°C
The SFD-34-60 configuration is designed to handle heavy workloads and deliver reliable performance in demanding applications such as large marine engines, power plants, and industrial process systems.
Alfa Laval LOPX 709 Application
- Marine engines: Used to purify fuel and lube oils to protect propulsion engines, auxiliary engines, and generator sets.
- Industrial lubrication: Used to remove water, sludge, and catalytic fines from heavy fuel oil before combustion.
- Power Plants: Used to clean turbine, generator, and diesel engine oils to maintain stable and efficient operation.
- Fuel treatment: Used to remove water, sludge, and catalytic fines from heavy fuel oil before combustion.
Alfa Laval LOPX 709 Key feature
- Continuous operation: It is designed for 24/7 operation with automatic sludge discharge at defined intervals to minimise downtime.
- Robust design: Built from corrosion-resistant stainless steel for long service life in harsh environments.
- Easy Maintenance: The straightforward disassembly and cleaning of bowl components reduces service time and maintenance efforts.
- High processing capacity: It can handle large volumes of oil, making it suitable for high-demand marine and industrial applications.
