MAPX 210 is a disc-type centrifuge Alfa Laval Separator/Purifier, constructed to continuously remove water, sludge, and solid contaminants from oils (fuel oils, lubricants, etc.) under demanding conditions.
The primary function is to rotate oil at a high speed, causing water, sludge, and fine solids to move outward while the cleaned oil is drawn back to the centre.
MAPX 210 Alfa Laval Purifier can handle both purification (water + solids removal) and clarification (solids removal only) with appropriate settings; it is quite versatile in operations.
It can maintain stable separation even under fluctuating feed quality, making it suitable for marine, industrial, and power generation applications where oil cleanliness is crucial.
MAPX 210 Application
- Marine: Used for onboard vessels, for cleaning oil in main engines, auxiliary systems, or fuel treatment systems, even under varying sea conditions.
- Industrial machinery: Use in heavy machinery, compressors, turbines, and industrial systems where oil quality is critical for reliability.
- Fuel oil purification: Eliminating water and fine soil contaminants to ensure better burner performance and less fouling.
- Power generation: Land-based power stations use the purifier to make sure their generators have a clean supply of fuel and lubricating oil, which is essential for producing consistent and reliable power
Key Features of MAPX 210
- Robust design: Made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, it allows the product to withstand harsh operating environments and maintain its longevity.
- Dual-phase discharge: Pressure is used to discharge both cleaned oil and separated water for flexible piping and system integration.
- Versatile modes: Can function both as a purifier (removing water + solids) and a clarifier (removing solids only), depending on how it’s configured.
- Self-cleaning operation: It has a system that automatically discharges sludge completely. The machine can continuously and efficiently remove solids from the bowl by periodically removing them without stopping.
