Westfalia OSC 5-02-066 Oil Separator
The Westfalia OSC 5 – 02-066 is a stainless steel self-cleaning separator that can be used for fuel conditioning and waste oil treatment, It removes water and sludge from impure oils. Purifiers by Westfalia are designed to provide continuous purification in harsh environments.
The basic design includes a paring device to open a heavy phase outlet and a simple design for a light phase outlet.
It has a 3 kW 415V 3/50 1400RPM flange-mounted motor with coupling, and a cast hinged cover. Driven at maximum 9980 RPM. It has a control panel. Last used as a purifier of heavy fuel oil. It can hold up to 3,100 litres per hour.
Westfalia Separator Functions
When the oil’s solids content is too high to be cleaned manually, self-cleaning separators are used with disc bowls or automatic solids ejection.
These separators are used for clarification and purification of fuel oils like gasoline oil, diesel oil, and heavy fuel oil. The separators can be self-cleaning by automatically releasing solids while it is still running. This eliminates the need for the separator to be shut down for cleaning.
