The OSD 35-0136-067 is a high-speed centrifugal separator manufactured by Westfalia Separator, primarily used for clarifying and purifying fuel oil and lube oil in both marine and industrial settings.
OSD 35-0136-067 is equipped with a self-cleaning bowl and the UNITROL system, which enhances automation and safety with built-in monitoring capabilities.
The UNITROL system features two important monitoring systems:
- Water Content Monitoring System (WMS): Which detects water in the separated oil, and the
- Sludge Space Monitoring System (SMS): Which tracks sludge accumulation within the separator.
The separator operates at a bowl speed of 8,200 revolutions per minute, delivers a high throughput capacity of up to 21,500 litres per hour via a centripetal pump, with an output pressure of 2 to 3 bars.
To run properly, the system needs a flow of 1,800 litres of operating water per hour at the same pressure range. The water needs to be relatively clean, with suspended matter in the range of 10 mg/l and particle sizes in the range of 50 microns.
