Westfalia Separator Functions
Westfalia separators are used for the segregation of liquid mixtures or for the separation of solids out of liquids or liquid mixtures.
The centrifugal forces are responsible for the fastest separation and/or ejection of the liquids.
The bowl’s periphery is where the heavier components will be displaced, while the bowl’s centre will hold the lighter components.
High bowl speeds are responsible for the high centrifugal force. High bowl speeds can be interpreted as high efficiency and high material stress for the separator.
